namuk Discovery Days

Hoo-hoo! – on August 28 and 29, the namuk family is heading to the Pop-Up Glamping Laax (Switzerland).

At namuk, we want to make sure that kids spend as much time as possible outside. With our Discovery Days, we want to inspire you and get to know your families personally. Together, we will soak up the fresh mountain air, make new friends, and explore the wilderness high up in the Alps.

A very special place: Alp Nagens at 2,000 meters above sea level

It is a magical place, home to curious marmots, offering a beautiful view of the Grisons mountain panorama – far away from daily routines and close to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Sardona Tectonic Arena.

This is where adventurers come together to leave everyday life behind, sit around the campfire, and experience pure nature. Local delicacies (with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, of course) will keep all families well-fed throughout the day.

For those staying overnight: Our fully furnished cotton tents turn the pop-up camp into a real glamping experience, including a cozy outdoor breakfast served straight from a charming TukTuk!

The workshop program: Exploring together

Together with long-time friends of the Owl, the namuk team, and the founder of namuk himself, you can learn new things and get creative. The program is tailored perfectly for kids between 4 and 12 years old:

  • 🎨 Creative & craft workshop: Time to get crafty. Among other things, we will craft handy upcycling bags with the namuk team and enjoy a beautiful nature craft workshop hosted by our long-time ambassador Gabrielle from kindwaldundwiese.
  • 🌲 Wilderness & spirit of discovery: Real nature experts will take us on a journey to uncover the secrets of local wildlife and plants.
  • 🌌 Night adventure & stargazing (for our overnight guests): As soon as it gets dark, we will head out on a magical night hike and enjoy the clear, spectacular starry sky, far away from any artificial lights.

FAQ

The namuk Discovery Days are an event series organized by namuk for families, aiming to inspire kids and parents to spend more time outside together and experience nature mindfully.

In a small, personal setting, the Discovery Days create space for shared adventures, inspiring workshops, free exploring, and genuine family time away from everyday life. The focus is on nature experiences, movement, creativity, and connection – always with the goal of letting kids discover nature with all their senses.

Each edition of the namuk Discovery Days takes place in a special spot in the middle of nature and is customized to the surroundings and the specific outdoor adventures available there.

The namuk Discovery Days 2026 will take place in Laax (Switzerland) at La Stalla within the TCS Pop-up Glamping, in the mountains at an altitude of 2,000 meters, right on the doorstep of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Sardona Tectonic Arena.

The location could not be more perfect: surrounded by untouched nature, marmots, hiking trails, and climbing spots, families can spend a weekend far away from daily routines and civilization. During the day, you have a beautiful view across the valley, and at night, an incredible starry sky awaits. It is a place that invites you to be outside, experience adventures together, and discover nature in all its beauty.

At namuk, we believe that kids discover, learn, and grow the most when they are outside. Our goal is to support families in spending as much time as possible together in nature.

Alongside functional clothing that protects and accompanies kids in any weather, namuk wants to create experiences that bring families outside and inspire shared adventures.

A major spark for this was the namuk Outdoor Study from 2023. It showed that kids spend an average of only 1.5 hours a day outdoors – meaning they spend 22.5 hours indoors. This realization created a strong wish to do something about it.

With the namuk Discovery Days, we want to offer families a space where nature, movement, and time together take center stage again. A weekend that shows just how valuable real outdoor experiences can be – for kids and parents alike.

The namuk Discovery Days are for families who want to break away from everyday life and consciously spend time together outside in nature, 2,000 meters up in the mountains.

The event is ideal for families who appreciate adventure, movement, and real outdoor experiences, and who want a weekend focused on shared time and exploring nature.

The workshops and activities are designed for kids aged 4 to 12, inviting them to discover the mountain world playfully, get creative, and experience it with all their senses. The versatile program includes different activities tailored to various age groups.

The activities and workshops at the namuk Discovery Days are primarily tailored to kids aged 4 to 12. Siblings who are a bit younger or older are, of course, very welcome to join the event.

Please keep in mind, though, that some parts of the program might not be perfectly suited to their age group. In this case, we recommend planning a few additional activities for the younger or older siblings.

Yes. The Discovery Overnight Pass including an overnight stay (Friday & Saturday) costs CHF 50 per family, and the Discovery Day Pass for Saturday costs CHF 20 per family. After attending the event, the ticket cost can be redeemed as a namuk voucher of the same value.

The actual costs are much higher: the weekend ticket has a value of around CHF 850, and the day pass is worth about CHF 250 per family.

At namuk, we believe that the best childhood memories are made outside – while exploring, wondering, and sharing experiences. That is exactly why our mission is to get as many families as possible excited about adventures in nature and to give them unforgettable moments together.

We are very happy to offer the namuk Discovery Days at a heavily reduced price to make it possible for many families to join.

At the same time, we want to keep the event accessible. That is why all participating families receive the full ticket amount back as a namuk voucher afterward. In the end, there are no extra costs, and we can ensure a fair and reliable booking process.

We are looking forward to experiencing this special weekend together with families and giving them a chance to enjoy a weekend in nature with namuk.

It is important to us to keep the event small and personal, with plenty of room for nature, connections, shared moments, and real family quality time. Because we want to create a close and relaxed atmosphere, spots are intentionally limited.

Since demand will likely exceed our capacity, we do not hand out tickets based on speed ("first-come, first-served") but rather through a random drawing.
